Crypto wallet REVIEWS
Trezor Safe 3
Nate Drake is a regular Scrooge McDuck as he stows his precious crypto coins in Trezor’s mid-range cryptocurrency hardware wallet.
Trezor devices store the crypto wallet private keys securely on the device so they can’t be accessed or copied by malware.
In March 2025, Microsoft issued a warning about the StilachiRAT virus, which focuses on stealing stored credentials in the Chrome browser to compromise crypto wallets.
As you’ll see in this month’s tutorial, this has become a growing trend. It’s relatively easy for bad actors to access data like Bitcoin software wallets. This is where Trezor steps in with its line of hardware cryptocurrency wallets. These devices essentially operate as a small, single-purpose computer to store the private wallet keys. Users deploy a cable and specialist software to access the device and approve transactions. As the computer never has direct access to the private keys, in theory it’s much harder for hackers to exfiltrate them.
