Hollywood movie makers can adjust their camera’s aperture to change the strength of a clip’s background or foreground blur. This selective focus enables them to draw the eye to particular people or blur out background distractions. A wider aperture (such as an f-stop of 2.0) creates a shallower depth of field and a correspondingly stronger background blur.
