iCloud Photos
One of iCloud’s most popular features is iCloud Photos. Here’s how to use it
With iCloud Photos, you can share your snaps and videos across your devices.

Previews or full-sized images
You can save local storage space by keeping smaller, preview copies of your photos and videos on your device, and the full-sized versions in iCloud. On a Mac, go to Photos > Settings > iCloud, and on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Apps > Photos. Then choose ‘Optimise [device] Storage’ to display preview images and videos, or Download Originals for the full-fat versions.
The iCloud Photos service uploads every photo and video you take (on your iPhone, say) and stores them in iCloud so you can easily access them on any of your Apple devices. Any changes and edits made on one device are synced with your other Apple gear too. If, for example, you tidy up a picture on your Mac with the new Apple Intelligence-powered Clean Up tool to remove a distracting object, when you open that photo on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, the object is removed there too.
