We are all bodgers in one way or another, although not all modellers will admit it. Scratchbuilding often involves a degree of bodging – George Dent freely admits that his scratchbuilt USATC Whitcomb has been bodged slightly, owing to limited prototype references and the constraints of employing a RTR donor chassis.
