Building a model railway can be a challenge. It’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to make something too big, which can end in frustration when things don’t go well, and that can result in a layout never being finished. The obvious advice is to start small for your first layout, but that doesn’t mean it will be without its challenges. Kevin Mitchell has built plenty of layouts in his modelling career and decided that he wanted to challenge himself to make a credible scene in as small a space as he could.
