Dunbeg resident Kay Lang is worried over flowing recycling bins will harm local wildlife.
OVERFLOWING recyling bins in Dunbeg are putting a nearby nature reserve at risk, claims worried resident Kay Lang. Ms Lang, who has lived in the village for six years, says waste spilling out of the bins makes the area an eyesore and is in danger of choking the burn that runs on land at the back of it.
She says the bins also attract flytippers, dumping bags of rubbish and unwanted items. Ms Lang has tried to get the bins emptied but says an Argyll and Bute Council officer told her two vehicles were off the road and out of use so he could not say when the area would be cleared.
