HIGHLANDS and Islands regional MSP Rhoda Grant has revealed that following a public consultation, the disposal of 49 of the 53 police properties was validated at the Scottish Police Authority board meeting in Stirling last week.
The four properties where there has not been agreement with local communities are all located within the Highlands and Islands.
Ms Grant commented: ‘I understand the decision to sell off the police offices in Lairg, Dunvegan, Broadford and Lochboisdale have not been mutually agreed with the communities affected, or other stakeholders, and will be reviewed with a further consultation taking place between now and August 3 with regards to the way forward.
