Event will teach CPR for babies

AFTER almost losing their newborn son last year, an Oban family is organising a CPR training day to take place later this month.

The event, to be held in the Rockfield Centre on January 27 from noon-4pm, will teach people how to give CPR to babies and is open to everyone.

Fearghas and Natalie Lafferty almost lost their son Murray last year when he stopped breathing. Fearghas said: ‘My son was really not well last year and he needed CPR. Friends and family said they wouldn’t know how to do that. So Natalie had the idea of doing a training day to raise money and to make sure that anyone who wanted to know could do CPR.’
