THE CASE continues against a retired judge from Fort William who is charged with drink driving and possession of a knife.
Richard Twining Sidgwick, 71, from Mileston Hill House, first appeared in Fort William sheriff court on May 12 after registering 110 milligrams of alcohol in a 100mg breath sample at his home the previous evening. The legal limit in Scotland is 22.
Sidgwick was also charged with failing to identify the driver of the vehicle when requested to do so at 8.30pm at his house on May 11 and being in possession of the knife at Fort William Police Office the same day.
