Community rallies to help after death in A82 tragedy

COMMUNITY spirit and a big helping of generosity brought Fort William together last week on a ‘sad day for the town’.

‘Good old Highland hospitality at it’s very best,’ were the words of Mairi MacDonald, who took to Facebook to praise the town’s community spirit following a serious road traffic collision on Thursday (August 18) which closed the A82.

The road was closed for around seven hours following the death of a cyclist after a collision with a lorry.
