From Lochboisdale’s harbour we left the next morning by minibus heading North through the Uists to Bernera, by ferry to Harris and then onwards to Stornoway.
Of all the festivals we have played at, Hebcelt is consistently the most stress free. Invariably when a band arrives at most festivals, the accommodation booking has been confused, the sound-check time has been changed, the tech team have mislaid the stage plan and channel list and the booking for food is ten minutes before you have to go on stage! Not so with Hebcelt where Caroline MacLennan and her superb team make the whole experience feel like an impeccably well-organised holiday, during which you play a few tunes to amazing audiences!
Highlights of the our two gigs there were having Cathy Ann MacPhee and the Runrig boys in the audience.
