Mull Highland Games

RECORDS were broken at this year’s Mull Highland Games, which attracted competitors from all over the world.

Hundreds of spectators made their way to Erray Park, Tobermory, and witnessed Allan Hamilton of Edinburgh break two ground records, as well as two Scottish Highland Games records.

The 24-year-old cleared 50ft and one-inch to claim the triple jump record and jumped 24ft and six-and-a-half inches in the long jump and almost cleared the sand pit to break his second record of the day.

He said: ‘I’m really happy. I love Mull. They always put on fantastic games. I have never heard anything bad about them.

The committee and pipe band lead the parade.
