THE FORT travelled to Banff at the weekend to take on Deveronvale looking to be successful on the opening day of the season for the first time in a long time, but unfortunately they couldn’t secure the win.

Fort opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, with Scottie Davidson firing home from the penalty spot. But this lead was only to last three minutes, when the referee Alex Shepherd surprised everyone in the ground with a penalty decision to the home side which Gary Harris converted.
