1. I won this Interior Motives student design award when I was in my second year at Northumbria University. It was the first time I really believed that I had what it took to succeed in design.
2. I try to get out on my mountain bike once a week to clear the mind. I bought this Cotic Jeht about four years ago, designed and built in Britain from Reynolds cro-moly. It weighs about the same as a carbon bike but is much prettier. The geometry and materials make it so much fun, it rails corners and pops off every root in sight, yet soaks up the big stuff, too.
