Malta has – at least since the 1600s, but perhaps going even further back – long been a place for those looking to enjoy some luxury, sophistication and perhaps even hedonism away from home. The archipelago nation is something of a hidden gem. Its multi-cultural history, combined with its position in the Mediterranean at the confluence of trading routes means that a cosmopolitan way of living isn’t new to the country and some of the very best worldly experiences are available to those who seek them (and know where to look).

Also in this issue, our Experientialist®s travel to five states in the southeastern USA to find out just how restorative travel can be and its unfailing potential to recalibrate our sense of perspective.
