Raspberry Pi released a torrent of accessories and add-ons in the final weeks of 2024, including its own-branded SSDs. These take advantage of the Raspberry Pi 5’s dedicated PCI-E connection, into which you must slide a Pi M.2 HAT+ (£11.50 inc VAT) or one of its third-party alternatives (such as the excellent £9 Pinboards HatDrive! Nano). If you have one already, buy the “naked” SSD; if not, you can buy it as part of the SSD bundle: £37 for 256GB, £51 for 512GB.
