Time to dock
USB-C ports are now ubiquitous, but that alone doesn’t make a docking monitor
There was a time when you could stick a USB-C port onto a monitor, throw in a couple of USB-A ports, and consider the docking box ticked. So long as the USB-C port could feed enough power into the laptop – and 65W is plenty for most – surely punters had everything they needed: plug in the laptop with a single USB-C cable when at the desk, unplug it when it’s time to leave.
