CANON EOS R5 & R6 / PET PORTRAITS
The Cambridge-based Canon pro photographer talks about how the EOS R5 and R6 have helped improve her pet photography
Canon EOS R5 RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM 1/160 sec, f/10, ISO250
As a pet photographer and tutor I end up pointing my camera at a wide variety of subjects, many of which don’t stay still for long. I have both my cameras set up for back button focus with the AF-ON button being normal single point focus, and the asterisk button set up for Animal Eye autofocus, this means that I can quickly switch from one focus mode to the other as needed. This, plus the amazing ability to put my focus point anywhere on the screen, has resulted in consistently pin-sharp images. Both cameras perform perfectly whether in the studio and on location.
