EDIBLE DECORATIONS
FESTIVE SPICED ORANGE BISCUITS
Makes: approx. 25 medium cookies
• 190g (generous cup) non-dairy butter
• 2 tbsp blackstrap molasses
• 4 tbsp golden syrup
• 150g (generous cup) soft, light brown sugar
• 1 tbsp water
• 1 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 3 tsp ground ginger
• 1 orange, zest only
• lemon, zest only
• 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 450g (3 cups) plain flour, plus extra for rolling out
You will also need:
• 2 baking sheets
• Parchment paper
• Christmas and winter themed cookie cutters
• Writing icing tubes (check the ingredients), or homemade icing made with icing sugar mixed to a paste with a splash of water
