SESAME SEEDS
IDEA 1: Toast your left over sesame seeds.
HOW? Pour left over seeds into a dry frying pan and toast them until they are nice and brown. Then pour them into a container and sprinkle over all kinds of salads, slaws and stir fry dishes.
IDEA 2: Substitute other oils for this homemade sesame variety.
HOW? Warm 250ml sunflower oil with 60g sesame seeds over a medium heat until the seeds just start to change colour. Remove from the heat and allow to cool before pouring into a glass jar or plastic squeeze bottle. The sesame oil can be stored in the fridge for about one month.
