Wicked Healthy
“It is important to spark conversation, to make the reader think, and most importantly, to pick up the book to dig a little deeper.”
If you want to stand out in a crowded cookbook market, then choosing a cover of a humble beetroot being butchered is one way of doing so, and that’s exactly what the Wicked Healthy cookbook does.
Chad and Derek Sarno are chef brothers elevating the plant based culinary scene to new levels by making plants cool, but more importantly, by making plants taste great. This year, they’ve already partnered with Tesco for the extremely popular plant based Wicked Kitchen range, and now they’re bringing a cookbook filled with gorgeous food photography and experimental recipes to a bookshop near you too. We caught up with the brothers to hear more about the cookbook release.
What made you decide to put together a cookbook and how has the process been?
We created the Wicked Healthy brand as a vehicle to share the recipes, culinary innovation and the exciting projects that we have been involved with to better push our plant based mission to the masses. We knew that the angle of being brothers and sharing this passion would only make our message louder, and a book was the perfect way to be able to showcase this. The journey has been a long process to say the least, aside from the many years of recipe development that we have done. From inception to print, this book will have taken about 2 and ½ years to reach completion and we are so pumped to finally see it come to life.
