Champagne Gold side panels give the Crusader Borealis a really classy exterior
A COUPLE OF seasons ago, what was then still the Explorer Group introduced a new layout into its luxurious Buccaneer brand. With an L-shaped settee in the lounge, the Barracuda had enough space on the offside front wall for a domestic-size TV and below that, a convenient perch for a Freeview or satellite box. In short, just like home.
This season, the Co Durham company has added a similar layout to Elddis’s and Compass’s most upmarket ranges. The Elddis Crusader Borealis and the Compass Camino 650 still benefit from Alde heating and a 40-litre onboard water tank, but don’t have self-levelling, and are a conventional width. So are they as home-like as the Barracuda? We checked out the Borealis at Kenmore Caravans, Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
