The warriors on the edge of time (or maybe borrowed time, of which more later) breeze into the toon on a Friday night and land at a respectably attended but not heaving City Hall, on the very day their new album also touches down on Planet Earth. Three select cuts from Stories From Time And Space have been inserted into the set, as Hawkwind further burnish their current incarnation’s reputation for running a tight live ship.
An upbeat Dave Brock also reveals that it was here in “Noocarsoo”, back in 1979, that he first met his wife, Kris. She briefly appears and gives this story a confirmatory wave from the wings.
