AGROPELTER
The Book Of Hours THE LASER’S EDGE
Classical meets prog on slick debut.
T
he Book Of Hours marks the debut of Agropelter, aka Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Kay Olsen. The sound mixes the classic with the modern, variously summoning forth a vintage, acoustic vibe in Flute Of Peril or shifting into an 80s neo-prog mode with Levitator. Burial Mound features The Flower Kings’ Jonas Reingold taking a stroll on fretless bass although overall, the music is led from the keyboards, featuring everything from Mellotron, Moog and piano to church organ.
