HEATHER FINDLAY
The great and good of progressive music give us a glimpse into their prog worlds. As told to Grant Moon.
Where’s home?
Beautiful York.
What’s your earliest memory of prog?
Late summer, 1996, listening to Comfortably Numb on a mixtape Bryan Josh gave me prior to my audition for Mostly Autumn. It also had early demos of their songs The Night Sky, The Last Climb and Heroes Never Die, as well as White Room by Cream.
What’s the first prog album you bought?
Floyd’s Animals from Track Records in York.
And the most recent?
Naked by Franck Carducci & Mary Reynaud. It has some great proggy moments on it.
