ANDY GLASS (SOLSTICE)
The great and good of progressive music give us a glimpse into their prog worlds. As told to Grant Moon.
PRESS/HOWARD RANKIN
Where’s home? Northamptonshire.
What’s your earliest memory of prog? Being 13, with a few friends in my parents’ garage late one night. We must have known this record called for some kind of rite of passage ritual so candles were lit, the lights turned off and an LP reverently placed on the turntable. It was The Dark Side Of The Moon.
What’s the first prog album you bought? Supertramp’s Crime Of The Century.
And the last?
The Overview by Steven Wilson. The most moving moment on first listen was the Theo Travis play-out. Theo got up with us at a recent show – sublime!
