Esoterica have been honing their craft for more than two decades and that experience shines through on Ether Metal. Every aspect of the album feels meticulous in planning and execution. The songs aren’t overly complex but they are perfectly constructed, with polished layers of instrumentation and a progressively epic sense of scale to the arrangements. There’s a dark cyberpunk feel to the sound and visual aesthetic, but with genuine emotion beneath the sheen.
