‘After spending more than a decade at the successful company I had created, SkimLinks, I was looking for a new challenge,’ says Navarro. ‘So I went travelling, learned new skills, and discovered that every time that I was doing something really novel and exploratory, often in nature, I would have an explosion of creativity. I’d often have to sit down immediately and start taking notes, to capture my ideas. Something about being in nature and outside my normal comfort zone gave me the space to see connections that had been latent before.
