Spice things up
Cutting back on salt is key for heart health and blood pressure, especially as we age. But if you have a ‘salty tooth’ (we know that’s not a ‘thing’, but it should be!), that’s easier said than done. Now, however, new research from Washington State University has found a solution: adding a little spice. The study found that those who added some spicy seasoning to a low-salt meal were less likely to notice its absence.
