From €4,00 por edição
A beautifully designed and intelligent magazine, packed with well-written articles – all superbly illustrated – about different aspects of bus and coach operation, the vehicles we learned to love or hate, interesting companies, people that shaped the industry, plus personal reminiscences and factual stories. Some are shamelessly nostalgic, some controversial, but every piece is written by people who have a lifelong devotion and unquenchable passion for this interest. Many writers are well-known figures in the industry, bringing a fresh perspective that keeps the magazine relevant to today’s readers.

Classic Bus

Feb/Mar 2026 (201) Having become surplus to requirements in Nottingham, a batch of 14 Lilac Leopards was taken over by Maidstone Borough Council from 1976; in this issue, Richard Lewis looks at their years spent in Kent. Also featured are readers' memories of West Yorkshire operator, Hanson in the late 1960s, and we visit bus stations around the country by way of an unusual set of postcards. The glory days of Newcastle's Worswick Street bus station are depicted in photographs found in The Bus Archive, and Martin Curtis recalls the arrival of the first Metro-Scanias in London early in 1970. In our Classic Coachbuilders series, Mike Fenton examines the output of Windover, and David Toy tells us how he brought his engineering expertise to bear when specifying new buses suitable for Brighton's hilly terrain. We also take a look at timetables tailor-made around industries in the Midlands, the numbering of Maidstone & District's Bristol VRTs, and a few buses numbered 201 for our issue 201. Plus there’s our popular, lively and well-illustrated Forum section with topics ranging far and wide, and a look at some new books.
