From €4,00 por edição
A beautifully designed and intelligent magazine, packed with well-written articles – all superbly illustrated – about different aspects of bus and coach operation, the vehicles we learned to love or hate, interesting companies, people that shaped the industry, plus personal reminiscences and factual stories. Some are shamelessly nostalgic, some controversial, but every piece is written by people who have a lifelong devotion and unquenchable passion for this interest. Many writers are well-known figures in the industry, bringing a fresh perspective that keeps the magazine relevant to today’s readers.

Classic Bus

Apr/May 2026 (202) We’re visiting bus shelters in this issue – a variety of them in Sheffield, and those lonely four-sided jobbies on Lewis. We’re also off to Wales to look at Bedford buses with independents, and learn about how Crosville prepared for the investiture of the Prince of Wales in Caernarvon in 1969. Still in Wales, Mike Fenton looks at the bus and coach bodies built by D J Davies of Merthyr Tydfil. We return to Worswick Street bus station in Newcastle and take a detour on a journey into hell, as remembered by George Rayner (it was Scunthorpe steelworks actually, but he found it a bit scary!). After some recent correspondence about a Sunday bus near Sevenoaks run to take people to and from church, we can now show you a picture of this bus, and a damn fine picture it is. We're also treating you to a gorgeous panorama of Glencoe, with a Highland coach threading its way through it. How about RTLs in the West Midlands? We feature these, courtesy of The Bus Archive. Also showcased are some fine studies of London Transport buses in the early post-war period from a photo album discovered by chance in a shop in Sheringham. Plus there’s our popular, lively and well-illustrated Forum section with topics ranging far and wide, and a look at some new books.
