I was inspired to make my Dry Gulch Saloon after moving to southern California and seeing all of the old adobe style architecture. It was made completely from scratch using plywood. My husband Mark is a woodworker, so he cut the parts from plywood and assembled the shell for me to customise.
All of the windows and saloon door are from my own stockpile. The stucco was made by gluing crumpled up, single-ply tissue paper onto the wood and letting it dry. Afterwards, I painted it with several different colours of acrylic paint.
