We welcome back Sue Daley and Leonie Bateman to the pages of Quilters Companion, but this time they are teaming up on a joint project. We have two new contributors to QC this issue — Rachael Simmons with a very funky yo-yo quilt, and Linda Guy with a modern take on a medallion quilt. We feature a delightful owl wall hanging by Christine Sharp of Kids Quilts, and Wendy Whellum joins us again with a delightful traditional quilt. Finally we have an amazing bag from UK designer Emma Brennan of Charlie’s Aunt. Michelle Marvig road tests Jaybird rulers and Deborah Louie offers some helpful advice if you are in the market for a new sewing machine. We also have a special feature article from Australian fabric designer Reece Scannell, who shares with us his recent experiences of travelling to Japan, exploring Japanese quilting culture and meeting Noriko Endo.
