Australian Country  |  28.3
Our travels begin in Tasmania where we meet heritage officer and wallpaper expert Alan Townsend at Lonsdale, in his historic home near Kempton. Then we head north to Swan River Sanctuary near Swansea, where seventh-generation Tasmanian Mathew Routley is offering homestay and guided safaris on his regenerative cattle farm. In South Australia, we head to Wilkadene on the Murray River, where Tom and Sarah Freeman run a brewery in a shearing shed and live in a historic home. We also drop in on Glenda Dunlop at her rustic holiday house at Mundulla, then head to the NSW Northern Rivers, where Janine Cullen and Gordon Critcher have moved to a beautiful home on acreage after busy lives and careers in the Illawarra region. Our travel feature focuses on the Sapphire Coast of southern NSW, and the issue is also packed with gardening, design and decorating inspiration.
