» Intellivision » 1982 » Mattel Electronics I’ve rarely had a retro gaming find that has been quite as cool as the Intellivision collection I picked up back in 2013. I’d managed to miss the Intellivision Lives compilations over the years so I had no real experience with the console or its library at the time, but here was a system complete with 11 games, all of them boxed and most with their instructions and controller overlays. I couldn’t resist, and I ended up very pleased that I experienced the system this way, rather than via the compilation. You see, my favourite Intellivision game is Lock ’N’ Chase, which never appears on the compilations because it’s a conversion of an arcade game by Data East.
