» PSP » 2008 » TAITO When I first started having to contemplate a career, back in the mid-Noughties, I thought I’d never be able to write about games for a living. My tastes didn’t seem to fit in – sure, I liked plenty of stuff that drew critical praise, but I also liked arcade games, 2D games and other things that were deeply unfashionable at the time. Thankfully the situation started to change, and I think that’s partially down to games like Pac-Man Championship Edition and Space Invaders Extreme. Both games managed to retain the core gameplay of the classic incarnations while adding a modern twist, and earned praise for doing so.
