FIELD NOTES

Hello ~

I’m glad you are “here,” reading this latest issue of Rock & Gem. I hope you are in good health and good spirits after what has seemingly felt like a long winter, even though it was relatively free of significant treacherous weather. Gladly, it seems like spring is here and providing opportunities for more people to get outside.

On the mineral and gem show front, several of the shows that generally occur in Tucson during the first two months of the year opened to the public during April. According to various accounts from dealers and attendees alike, precautions were being followed in most places, and while the size of the crowd varied from day-to-day and location to location, people were calm and conscientious of one another.
