Jessye Brockway
Former athletics junior world champion and Canada Winter Games Nordic skier, Jessye Brockway, 28, from Vancouver Island, started Para rowing to improve her endurance. At Tokyo, Jessye and her teammate, Jeremy Hall, represented Canada in the PR2 Mix2x, finishing in 12th place. Now, she is preparing to race her single on Elk Lake at Canada’s National Rowing Championships.
What have you been doing since Tokyo?
I had a break after the Games. Since then, I've returned to training. I'm quite new to rowing so I want to keep improving. Alongside my rowing training I've started to do calisthenics, for fun.
