Films that tackle spirituality often tend to look at the end of life. But with Pixar’s Soul and now Nine Days, we have two within the space of 12 months partly about the unknown time before it starts. Edson Oda’s drama is not one to plunk the kids down in front of, though… unless they’re ready to confront big ideas about death and connectivity without the addition of a wisecracking Tina Fey.
