Awks. Then a dead body turns up… IRAN + 100(15 May, Comma Press) collects translations of 10 stories by Iranian authors, all of which imagine their country a century after the 1953 coup (for those not hot on maths, that’s the year 2053). A dystopian colony based on the society of bees is the setting for Anna February’s YA THE HIVE(out now, Chicken House), a murder mystery in which a bodyguard must discover who murdered her charge before she gets executed for it. New entries in continuing series include THE TAINTED KHAN(out now, HarperVoyager), Taran Matharu’s sequel to Dragon Rider, and THE BOOK THAT HELD HER HEART(out now, HarperVoyager), the concluding part of Mark Lawrence’s The Library Trilogy.
