This is a beautiful new transfer of a film with a pretty ugly subject matter. Night Train Murders was originally refused a certificate by the BBFC in 1976, and later found itself on the infamous “video nasties” list. And no wonder – it’s a fairly vicious rape and revenge film released, in part, to cash in on the success of Wes Craven’s The Last House On The Left a few years previously.
