Norwegian director Emilie Blichfeldt’s debut reimagines Cinderella through a blackly comic body-horror lens. While the film makes salient points about how brutalising your body to conform to beauty standards has been going on since time immemorial, its wonderfully grisly moments appear too infrequently for it to become a true genre classic.
