■ The Evercade Alpha might look like a toy but it doesn’t feel like one at all. The bartop form factor can be awkward as it’s hard to rest your hands, but that’s unavoidable. Multiplayer is supported via its USB-A slots… though sharing an 8in display with another player isn’t much fun.
