Just keep swimming
Looking at the box art, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this is a family friendly, vibrant boardgame, with a 1950s throwback aesthetic and a genuine focus on building an aquarium. However, once you open the box and begin to sort through the gameplay materials, you’ll quickly find that this vivid backdrop is replaced by a drab, brown and altogether muted colour palette. I wouldn’t call this family friendly, either. While the premise suggests that you’ll be building your own exciting aquarium, in reality you’ll be engaging with a clunky set of Eurogame mechanics.
