No-one in the hobby has ever seriously considered Tic Tac Toe to be a “proper” game. It’s widely recognised to be an entirely solved puzzle, and there are much better things to do with a pencil and a piece of paper. That being the case, expectations remain low when Bitewing Games claims to have made the “Most Explosive Tic Tac Toe.” But I was wrong to write it off so quickly.
Bombastic comes in a beautiful little travel case that can carabiner onto your bag if you’re struggling for space. It consists of nine chunky acrylic tiles and a small deck of cards. Four of the tiles have a cross on one side, another four have a circle, while the final has a bomb on it.
