Rio Euro Nymph leaders combine a tapered leader, length of indicator tippet and ring
Rio has made two new ready-tied tapered leader rigs to make Euro-nymphing easier and more productive.
The Euro Nymph leader is 11ft long, starting with 9ft of 0X (15lb) chartreuse or brown tapered nylon for enhanced visibility. This is connected to 22in of Rio’s 2X (8.5lb) two-tone Indicator Tippet material, designed for maximum visibility in all light conditions. This combination makes it easier to control drifts and detect subtle takes. The leader finishes with a 2mm tippet ring, allowing anglers to quickly attach their own tippet material.
