Improve Video Calls in Nvidia Broadcast
YOU’LL NEED THIS
ANY GEFORCE RTX GPU
With 8GB of DDR4, plus a Core i5-8600 or Ryzen 5 2600.
THAT EXPENSIVE GPU humming away in your rig isn’t just for games or Folding@home work units—at least, not if it comes from Team Green. Nvidia Broadcast can also improve your calls and meetings by processing the audio and video streams to remove noise and echoes, or replace backgrounds, blur them, and even automatically crop the video to frame you more prominently.
The app used to be called RTX Voice, and if you’re still using a GTX GPU, you can get hold of the old app, which will run happily on your card but doesn’t do the camera stuff. Broadcast is RTX-only, however, so you need an RTX2060 or bigger/newer. According to the site, you also need 8GB of RAM and an i5-8600/R5 2600 or better. So, without further ado, let’s look at how you can improve your calls with your graphics card. –IAN EVENDEN
