Short stories and poetry are invited from young people between the ages of 5-16 years for the Young Muslim Writers Awards which, along with writing workshops, aim to celebrate children’s creativity and writing talent, to inspire and to help children become confident communicators.
Entrants must live in the UK and all submissions should be written in English and be the author’s own original, unaided work. Entries do not need to be on topics of Islam or Muslim identity although these will be welcome. There are writing tips and ideas on the website in addition to teaching resources.
