WHAT CAR? SAYS ★★★★★
‘THE HS’S OFFICIAL ELECTRIC RANGE OF UP TO 75 MILES IS AMONG THE VERY BEST’
IT’S A FALLACY that all plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) are expensive, and the MG HS is a prime example of that. In fact, in our preferred entry-level SE trim, this family SUV is among the cheapest cars of its kind to buy.
Don’t think that just because you’re paying a bargain price means it’ll feel cheap inside, either. In fact, the HS is easily a match for the more expensive Citroën C5 Aircross in terms of plushness. It’s well equipped, too, with a large suite of driver assistance systems and a responsive (albeit rather fiddly) 12.3in infotainment screen counting among its standard kit.
