The Loch Ness Marathon was established in 2002 and attracts around 3,000 runners to the shore of the iconic loch, just outside of Inverness in Scotland, every year. This year, I was fortunate enough to be among the runners, toeing the line at the start of this charming race, which has all of the beauty – and more! – of a trail race, but takes place entirely on the road.
