If you need convincing to head out running when it gets cold, this jacket will do just that. The sleeves, sides and back panel are made from soft 100% merino wool. They have a slight stretch to these sections making it easy to move in and the long sleeves have the all-important thumb holes. The front panel is padded with 50% recycled wool insulation and has a wind-resistant nylon outer to keep the chill off. There are two front, zippable pockets too.

I really like this waterproof jacket from Dare 2B. It looks stylish, is comfortable and does an excellent job of shielding you from the elements. Made from a recycled waterproof material using plastic bottles, it has fully taped seams, a wired peaked hood with a high collar and adjustable cuffs and hems for extra protection. There are three pockets on the outside and one on the inside and I liked the contoured fit and stretchy fabric. I’d certainly wear this if I was heading out for a long day on the trails or hiking but it’s a bit heavy for an everyday run coat.
